STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVE - We have begun a church-wide 40-day stewardship Bible study.  This study will be all inclusive, encompassing every aspect of our church life.  Books were distributed on December 18th at both worship services.  Every member was given a book, and we are asking that in the spirit of stewardship, each member give an extra sacrificial offering of $4.00 to defray the cost of your book.  This 40-day study will bless you and your family.  If you have not received your book, please contact Sis. Valerie Laws or Rev. Shirley Saunders.

BETHEL’S GIRL SCOUT TROOPS - The Scouts will be taking cookie orders. There are six different kinds. Cost: $4.00 per box.  Please support Daisy Troop 1163, Brownie Troop 801, Junior Troop 941, and Cadettes Troop 1790 by buying boxes from each troop.

SENIORS 55+ SHOPPING TRIP - Friday, February 10 to Middletown’s Bing’s Bakery, Walmart and Savory Wing Ding & Things Restaurant.  Leaving from the Church at 9:15am.  RSVP Valerie Laws by Tuesday, February 7.

100 MEN IN BLACK BREAFAST - Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

YOUNG LADIES OF RADIANCE (YLOR) - GIRL’S WORKSHOP.  Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 8:30am-3:30pm (lunch will be served).  Topics include:  Health, Nutrition, Self Esteem, Relationships, and Peer Pressure.  Lunch will be served.  Donation  $5.00.  To save your spot, please contact Kathy Williams or Karin Williams or see any YLOR ministry member before or after church services. 

FOUNDER’S DAY/100 MEN IN BLACK - Sunday, February 12.  Retired Bishop Zedekiah L. Grady, former Bishop of the First Episcopal District, will be the guest preacher.

LAY ORGANIZATION - A Black History special presentation in the form of a play entitled "A Day of Absence" will be performed by students from Dr. Martin Drew's Delaware State University class on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome.  Refreshments will be served.

BETHEL EDUCATION STIPEND 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR - Applications are now available in the Church Annex magazine rack next to the Community Bulletin Board. Completed application with proof of enrollment from your institution must be attached and postmarked no later than February 15, 2012.  No hand deliveries.  Failure to mail documents to the P.O. Box may disqualify your stipend.

COLLEGE CARE PACKAGE MINISTRY (CCPM) - Applications and survey forms are available in the Church Lobby from Sunday, February 4, 2012 through Monday, February 28, 2012.  Please complete the application and survey forms in their entirety, using the full name of the student, college address (street name and number) dorm name and exact room number.  It is imperative that all information be provided as requested to ensure proper delivery of the packages. Please return all documents to the Church no later than Wednesday, February 29, 2012.  Questions or concerns about the application process should be directed to Brother Otis Bynum or Dottie Young.

DELAWARE CONFERENCE LAY ANNUAL RECOGNITION BANQUET - Saturday, February 18, 1:00 p.m., Modern Maturity Center, Dover.  Sis. Catherine Barber is Bethel’s honoree.  Tickets are $30, Patrons $2.  Please see Sis. Sharon Drew for tickets or patrons and for more information.  Please come and support the Mother of Bethel.

STROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER & FAMILY GAME NIGHT - Tuesday, February 21, 5:30pm.  Cost: adults $5; children-3-18 $3.  Contact Jean Cotton.

DELAWARE CONFERENCE BRANCH WMS ANNUAL RECOGNITION BANQUET LUNCHEON - Saturday, March 3 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 425 N Dupont Highway, Dover.  Bethel’s honoree is Sis. Gloria Walls.  Tickets:  $30, see Romaine Beasley.

CELEBRATION OF SISTERHOOD LUNCHEON - Saturday, March 24, 12:30pm at the Doubletree Hotel.  Cost:  $40 per ticket.  Tickets go on sale Sunday, February 4 after the 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. services.
