YES Program

To create an enriching Christian school education program that will enhance the spiritual learning of youth ages 3-12.

Youth Enrichment Service (Y.E.S.)

Renee Nelson

Renee Nelson, Coordinator

The program is exciting, interesting, age appropriate and enhancing of their "everyday" school learning. The Y.E.S. program will include the learning of A.M.E. church disciplines, the learning of Bible Stories and the learning of black history. We strive to help children come to love the Lord Jesus and follow Him.

Parent Volunteers

Parents who have children in the Y.E.S. program must commit to at least one Sunday per quarter per child to assist in an assigned area of need. Sign up calendars will be available each month.

Attendance

The children are encouraged to regularly attend the Y.E.S. program. Parents must escort children to the worship room and sign them in and return at the end of service to sign them out. Attendance records will be kept in all classes.

Offertory

The children are asked to bring a weekly offering to the Y.E.S. program. An offering will be taken during the children's opening worship service. The offering will be given to the Y.E.S. program secretary who will document it in the Y.E.S. program report.

Food and Nutrition

The Youth Enrichment Service Program will provide a snack at 12:15 p. Families are not permitted to bring food from home except for a special diet when prescribed by their physician. Please no gum or candy!

Discipline Policy

All teachers will use positive age appropriate methods of discipline and guidance of children, which encourages self-control, self-direction, self-esteem and cooperation. We will emphasize positive disciplinary methods. These may include redirection, modeling, positive reinforcement, time-out and verbal reprimands. Continuous behavior problems will result in tiered consequences.
