Education Stipend

The Bethel A. M.E. Church Education Stipend 2008-2009

Bethel A.M.E. Church has established a Higher Education Stipend Fund to provide assistance to eligible students in our Church Family in their quest for higher education. The purpose of the fund is to provide qualified students with a stipend of $200 (Two Hundred Dolars) per semester during their full-time enrollment in an institution for post secondary education.

 

The Bethel A.M.E. Church Education Stipend Eligibility

  • The student must be a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church or a transferee from another A.M.E Church where he or she has been a member for at least two years
  • Graduating high school seniors are eligible for no more than five (5) consecutive years from the date of Graduation
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program of study
  • The student must be enrolled in FULL-TIME status (minimum of 12 credit hours) with an accredited post secondary institution, e.g. college, vocational/trade, or technical school.

The Bethel A.M.E. Church Education Stipend Application Process

  • Announcements may be posted in the Church Bulletin in September and in January indicating the availability of the applications
  • Application may be completed by the student or by the parent/guardian
  • Application MUST be submitted with proof of enrollment (transcript or semester statement/bill)
  • Application must be postmarked by the date specified
