Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church Announces Endowment Scholarships

The Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Wilmington, Delaware wants to ensure that all of its youth who choose to pursue a college career are equipped to do so, both spiritually and financially. The church family recognizes that the planning for college financing can be a challenge. Through the faithful stewardship of its members to help students and parents/guardians, the Bethel A.M.E. Church Scholarship Committee's primary function is the dissemination of financial awards to its youth. These awards include scholarships and stipends.

Also, in an effort to assist students in finding additional financial assistance, the committee provides various tips and resources. During scheduled workshops, the committee meets with students and parents/guardians for an informational session. This includes a review of Bethel A.M.E. Church Scholarships that are available, the overall application process and instruction for locating and obtaining scholarships and grants that may be available at the local, state and national levels.

It is the desire of the committee that each Bethel student be able to meet his or her financial need. The intent is that the challenge of meeting this need will not be an impediment to pursuing and achieving a college education.
