Bethel AME Church

The categories of scholarships to be awarded are:

• The Bethel A.M.E. Church Family Scholarship - This $1500 scholarship will be awarded to deserving full-time student members within our church family.
• The Bethel A.M.E. Church Community Scholarship - This $500 scholarship will be awarded on the basis of verified financial need, scholastic achievement, personal character, community involvement and communication skills. Preference will be given to African American Eastside Wilmington residents who are full-time students.
• The Dr. Leroy Christophe Memorial Scholarship - This $300 scholarship will be awarded to a needy full-time student.

For applications:

Bethel Family members can obtain the applications in the Annex. Community applications can be obtained from Community Centers and/or Guidance Counselors.

Who should apply:

Graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education on a full-time basis at an accredited college, university, technical, trade or vocational school. If you are a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) and have not previously received a scholarship you may apply.
